**About the role**
We are looking to recruit an experienced and driven Project Coordinator to support the JFD Australia Submarine Escape and Rescue Services (SERS) team. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team who genuinely enjoy working together in this unique portfolio. The primary focus of the first 6 months will be the implementation of project management and process mapping tools to support both projects and operational objectives. Whilst in this role, you will also have the opportunity for both domestic and international travel as well as working offshore twice a year. This is an exciting opportunity with a clear career pathway and is ideal for someone looking to develop their career towards a Project Manager position.

As a Project Coordinator, you will be responsible for:

- Provide direct to Operations and Project Manager to ensure overall Service delivery performance and satisfactory achievement of contractual and internal KPIs.
- Assume an operational coordination role in both the planned exercise and submarine callout events including both onshore and offshore based activity.
- Responsible for the delivery of contract reporting both internally and external to the client including all contractual requirements and documentation (weekly and monthly reports, action trackers and meeting minutes).
- Support SERS team in exercise planning, logistics and costing, including coordinating with suppliers, manage the DCAC (Defence Common Access Cards) process, book and manage travel / logistics for global operational personnel.
- Coordinate the issuing of annual training plans for SERS team and collection of OQE post exercise for upload to on-board tracker.
- Maintain on-board tracker for the SERS and SAER team
- Responsible for the document control of annual contract deliverables
- Manage the project controls requirements to the contract through collaboration with the Project Delivery Manager.

**What do you need?**
- Experience as a project coordinator on mid-size project. Experience in defence or maritime is highly desirable.
- Recognised project management professional qualification (e.g. Australian Institute of Project Managers (AIPM)
- Demonstrated experiences performing strategically and developing plans and processes to enhance the achievement of business outcomes.
- Expert knowledge in all MS Office Suites (especially MS Word, MS Powerpoint and MS Excel).
- Experience in working within a functional matrix organization.
