**About Us**

SDG is a national award-winning surveying firm based in Baulkham Hills, known for our people-focused culture. We work across Sydney on a wide range of residential construction projects.

We normally promote from within, but we’re now looking for an experienced Construction Surveyor to join the team — someone who can mentor and develop junior surveyors, work with the Construction Manager to improve processes, and help innovate this part of the business.

This role isn’t suited to a solo operator. You’ll be part of a tight-knit team of six construction surveyors who support each other on and off-site. You’ll also work in two-person setout teams, so you’ll need experience working with and managing a survey assistant in the field.

**What we’re looking for**:

- Clear spoken and written English - essential for working with clients and teams on site

- 7+ years’ experience in construction surveying, including residential construction
- Experience with Leica equipment and AutoCAD/BricsCAD software
- Diploma or higher in Surveying
- Full Australian working rights

**What you’ll be doing**:

- Mentoring junior surveyors and supporting their professional development
- Contributing to improving processes and team standards across the construction group
- Maintaining clear and accurate documentation for every job
- Performing setout calculations from digital plans and models
- Carrying out precise site set outs on small to large residential construction sites
- Working closely with builders, site supervisors, and clients to ensure smooth delivery
- Solving problems on site and adapting to changing project needs
- Working Saturdays when required to meet project timelines
