Quantity Surveyor

G&K Plant and Civil Pty Ltd are a leading provider of civil construction, utilities, concreting and plant hire services across NSW.

Given the demanding needs of the business, we now require a Quantity Surveyor to join our busy team.

The successful candidate will be required to work across Western Sydney.

The duties and responsibilities of the Quantity Surveyor position include:

• Prepare cost estimates and budgets for construction and engineering projects.
• Measure and value construction work (using drawings, specifications, and schedules).
• Prepare bills of quantities (BoQs) and other tender documentation.
• Advise on procurement methods and prepare tender and contract documentation.
• Evaluate tenders and negotiate contracts with clients, contractors, and suppliers.
• Monitor and control project expenditure to ensure costs stay within budget.
• Assess progress claims and variations and issue payment recommendations.
• Provide cost forecasting and financial reporting during all project stages.
• Assess and advise on contractual claims and disputes.
• Conduct feasibility studies and cost–benefit analyses for proposed developments.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, standards, and contract conditions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and project managers on design and cost optimisation.

The successful candidate will have the following:

• Relevant bachelor's degree or higher qualification; AND
• At least one (1) year or relevant full-time work experience.

A base salary of between $90,000.00 and $110,000.00 per annum (plus superannuation) will be offered to the successful candidate.

The successful candidate must also be passionate, proactive and have an eye for detail.
