**Overview of the Team and role**

Comcare’s Technology and Information Management Team facilitates the development and implementation of organisational ICT equipment, services, and related policies to support the delivery of business outcomes.

The EL1 Information Technology Security Advisor (ITSA) role will provide advice and recommendations on the security of Comcare ICT systems in accordance with the Information Security Manual and other relevant standards and will undertake risk assessments for all new services and significant changes to existing services. The role will also be responsible for the conduct of day to day ICT security operations and will manage the provision of services from the Security Operations Centre as they monitor Comcare’s Security Information and Event Management system. Finally, the role will be responsible for day to day oversight of the work of three ICT Assurance Officers, but will not have full management responsibility for them.

As the EL1 ITSA, you will exercise your strengths in assessment, customer engagement, and technology to help ensure the continued safe operation of Comcare ICT systems and services.

**Mandatory Qualifications/Experience**
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in information technology or computer science or equivalent experience of 4 or more years’ working in an ICT environment with a strong focus on security.
- Demonstrated experience working with the ISM and producing Security Risk Management Plans and Risk Assessments.

**Specific Conditions**

Some interstate travel may be required, including overnight absences

**Security Clearance**

Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance
