**Your role**

Based at our Major Hazard Facility in Laverton VIC and reporting to our Head of Maintenance, we’re seeking an experienced and commercially minded Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team of engineers, planners, fitters, electricians, and apprentices that together service our Chlor-Alkali operation in Laverton

**Your responsibilities**
- Lead and motivate the Maintenance team to deliver safe and highly reliable plant and equipment with a continuous improvement approach that improves maintenance execution year on year.
- Manage maintenance activities so that our assets are available to operate in a safe, timely and reliable condition
- Create team focus by collaboratively translating strategy into team must win goals with clear individual accountabilities
- Improve employee engagement through leadership and modelling positive behaviours consistent with company and site values
- Embed maintenance planning processes
- Collaborate with the Head of Maintenance to ensure delivery of service against agreed outcomes
- Set safety, environmental, quality and behavioural expectations and adherence, leading from the front and in line with Ixom guidelines

**Your skills & experience**
- Tertiary qualified in Mechanical or Electrical engineering
- Demonstrated ability in leadership and management of employees (under enterprise bargaining agreements would be beneficial)
- Knowledge in safety and reliability of heavy chemical manufacturing plants and ideally Chlor-Alkali plants
- Hands on experience in maintaining a continuous process plant
- Experience in the chemical manufacturing, petro chem or oil & gas industry
- Excellent customer / stakeholder management, negotiation and influencing ability
- Experience in delivering change initiatives that enhance service delivery and customer satisfaction.
