About The Role

Join Infrabuild Manufacturing as a Maintenance Scheduler/Planner at our Laverton Meltshop. In this role, you'll play a central part in improving equipment reliability, planning maintenance activities, and supporting the site's ongoing performance and safety goals.

Working closely with the maintenance and production teams, you'll coordinate and schedule maintenance activities, ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and on time. You'll also help drive a proactive maintenance culture by identifying opportunities to reduce downtime and improve asset performance.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planning and scheduling preventive and corrective maintenance activities for the Meltshop.
  • Leading and coordinating maintenance plans for down days and shutdowns.
  • Supporting safety leadership and promoting a "Goal Zero" culture.
  • Tracking and analysing equipment performance to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Managing spare parts, materials, and contractor resources to ensure smooth execution of maintenance work.
  • Using SAP and other systems to plan, record, and report on maintenance activities.
  • Assisting in developing strategies that enhance reliability, safety, and cost efficiency.

You are an organised and detail-oriented planner with a solid background in mechanical maintenance. Whether you're an experienced Maintenance Scheduler/Planner or a qualified tradesperson ready to move into a planning role, you have a strong focus on safety, teamwork, and operational excellence.

To be successful, you'll bring:

  • Mechanical trade qualifications or an engineering background.
  • Experience in maintenance planning/scheduling within heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining.
  • Strong computer skills, ideally with SAP or another CMMS.
  • Knowledge of maintenance standards, shutdown coordination, and contractor management.
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills.
  • A proactive approach to safety and continuous improvement.
