**The Role**
There are multiple APS6 positions available across the Financial Reporting and Treasury Team including:

- Departmental Financial Reporting
- Administered Financial Reporting
- Treasury
- Financial Operations.

Each position reports to the relevant Assistant Director and contributes to the branch’s objectives by undertaking the day to day operations of the relevant team which includes daily/ fortnightly/monthly accounting processes, preparing and/or contributing financial statements, reporting monthly results to Department of Finance, developing budgets/forecasts and working with internal/ external stakeholders.

**Duties and Responsibilities**
Responsibilities of the APS Level 6 may include:
**Departmental Financial Reporting**:

- Month end accounting processes, including journals and reconciliations, across complex accounting matters such as leave provisions.
- Preparing financial statements and notes, with supporting work papers for audit.
- Monitoring the inbox and responding to queries/ providing advice, including ANAO requests.
- Interrogating the Financial Management Information System (i.e. SAP) to answer financial questions (on request) from internal stakeholders.
- Promoting and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as directed.

**Administered Financial Reporting**:

- Month end accounting processes, including journals and reconciliations.
- Preparing financial statements and notes, with supporting work papers for audit.
- Updating financial results in the Central Budget Management System as required.
- Monitoring the inbox and responding to queries/ providing advice, including ANAO requests.
- Interrogating the Financial Management Information System (i.e. SAP) to answer financial questions (on request) from internal stakeholders.
- Promoting and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as directed.

**Treasury**:

- Daily Treasury tasks such as receipting, drawdowns, bank reconciliations, funds management.
- Month end accounting processes, including journals and reconciliations.
- Completion of GST returns.
- Monitoring the inbox and responding to queries/ providing advice, including ANAO requests.
- Interrogating the Financial Management Information System (i.e. SAP) to answer financial questions (on request) from internal stakeholders.
- Promoting and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as directed.

**Financial Operations**:

- Month end accounting processes, including journals and reconciliations.
- Accounts Receivable and Debt Management activities.
- Accounts Payable support and relevant activities.
- Monitoring the inbox and responding to queries/ providing advice, including ANAO requests.
- Interrogating the Financial Management Information System (i.e. SAP) to answer financial questions (on request) from internal and external stakeholders.
- Promoting and managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Other duties as directed.

**Qualifications and Education**
- **Essential**: Relevant accounting/ Finance experience.
- ** Highly regarded**: Relevant accounting/ Finance qualifications or working towards.
