At ACCS, we've helped thousands of injured workers and employers to resolve their disputes and move forward with their lives. We're a robust Victorian Government statutory authority that's been making an impact since 1992.
As we embark on an exciting new chapter with the addition of an Arbitration service, we need you to join us as the Arbitration Support Team Leader. In this role you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Case Support Officers and Hearing Support Officers within our Arbitration service. Reporting to the General Manager of Registry, you will bring your unique perspectives and expertise to help turn our proud legacy into a bright future.
Providing Leadership, direction, and a collaborative mindset, you will:
- Lead and manage a team of Hearing Support Officers and Case Support Officers in the delivery of a high performing and efficient arbitration support service in a way that meets operational objectives and legislative requirements
- Provide direction, support, feedback and guidance to the team to ensure a consistently high-quality service
- Work closely with team members to facilitate individual high performance and accountability through mentoring, coaching and professional development
- Work closely with the team to assist in decisions making particularly regarding referrals for arbitration as well as the escalation of complex matters for technical and/or legal advice
- Oversee the Arbitration dispute process to ensure disputes are progressed in a timely way and per legislative requirements and Ministerial Guidelines
**Who we're looking for**:
To succeed in this role, you will have:
- Experience leading teams and meeting the needs of multiple stakeholders within a service-oriented environment
- Well-developed ability to effectively coordinate and lead a team, set expectations, manage resources, allocate tasks and respond to service requirements as necessary
- Be able to foster a supportive and collaborative work style that challenges, empowers and inspires others to fulfil their potential
- Well-developed verbal and written communication skills and the ability to engage with a broad range of audiences including participants in hearings, parties to disputes, and other ACCS staff
- Ability to prioritise and allocate dispute workloads and task effectively along with the ability to meet service, efficiency and performance standards
