**Client**
The RSPCA is an independent, community-based charity providing animal care and protection services across the country. As a federated organisation, the RSPCA’s member societies in each state and territory run animal rehoming shelters, investigate and prosecute animal cruelty complaints, and educate the community on animal welfare and responsible pet ownership. RSPCA Australia, as the federation’s national body, is a leading source of animal welfare science and works with governments and industries to progress animal welfare across a range of issues. In addition, RSPCA Australia runs the RSPCA Approved Farming Scheme, which works with farmers and brands to improve the lives of millions of farm animals.

**Role**
They now want to appoint a Marketing Manager to oversee the Approved Farming Scheme. The RSPCA Approved Farming Scheme is Australia’s leading farm animal welfare certification program, making an impact for farm animals for over 26 years. The Scheme has undergone a recent strategic review and priority is being placed on the enhancement of the program’s marketing activities. The role will be responsible for developing and delivering marketing activities and campaigns across a range of platforms and channels, as well as working collaboratively with Licensees, Producers and partners on co-branded activities.

**Key Responsibilities**
The role will be responsible for:

- Ensuring the integrity of the RSPCA Approved brand on RSPCA, Licensee and Producer marketing materials
- Delivery of marketing campaigns that promote the Scheme and higher welfare farming
- Work collaboratively with Licensees and partners on co-branded marketing campaigns
- Assist senior management with the ongoing strategic review and development of the Scheme’s marketing activity

**Requirements**:

- Tertiary qualification in marketing, or related discipline or equivalent professional experience
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role including Communications Manager, Marketing Executive, Agri-Marketing Manager, Marketing and Communications Officer
- Excellent interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience in rapport building with internal and external stakeholders
- Keen understanding of Australian consumers, Australian Agriculture, FMCG and Australian Food Industries

**Remuneration and Location**
The remuneration package for this role reflects the fact that it is a senior role within the organisation. The RSPCA Approved marketing team is based in Canberra in the RSPCA Australia office in Deakin, Australian Capital Territory (ACT). However, it is possible that a range of different working from home or remote locations can be considered for very experienced applicants.
