The Opportunity

The Category Manager role within Samsung is an important role, pivotal in setting the strategic direction for the division. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Category Team in the Mobile Experience division.

This role will support and be responsible for creating growth initiatives across Tablet, Notebook and Mobile products and help drive toward market share, revenue and sell-out targets.

Role and Responsibilities

There are 4 key areas of responsibility:
Demand Generation- Identify and execute growth strategies that address opportunities and pain points- Plan pre-order and launch sales promotions, offers and propositions- Provide input to marketing planning and briefing process

Cross Functional Collaboration- Collaborate on key account management plans to achieve business objectives- Engage with teams across Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Retail and Finance- Support the Head Quarter (HQ) and Regional Head Quarter (RHQ) with reporting requirements

Operational Product Management- Ownership of key Product responsibilities across supply chain, financial forecasting, product lifecycle management, price setting and maintenance- End to end management of product P&L

Category Management:
- Strategic planning leveraging consumer insights, market trends and channel relationships- Lead local product Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy approach by setting priorities and targets- Work to achieve business goals such as revenue, profit and market share- Assess the viability of the introduction of a new product or category

Skills and Qualifications- 5+ years of experience in Product/Category Management, sales or other related roles- Thrives in a fast paced and dynamic environment- Flexible enough to adapt to rapidly shifting priorities- Exceptional presentation, excel and communication skills that can convince and engage- Uses strong analytical skills to back up assumptions and make recommendations- Collaborate cross functionally with other teams- Uses their advanced Microsoft Excel, Power Point skills daily
