We are looking for someone with either diesel or gas engine experience to join a successful and growing business in a technical sales/customer support role with Penske Australia based at our Sydney branch. If this appeals to you then this role could be the break you have been looking for.
Our Chipping Norton operation provides diverse new product, service and parts to customers in our key markets throughout Sydney, Canberra and Regional NSW for the Off Highway engine and power systems markets. With a focus on Business Development leading to sales and revenue growth, you will positively contribute to the enhancement of our pipeline and improved customer service.
In this role you will:
- Promote, market and sell Penske Australia product for all off highway market segments in NSW, particularly Sydney but with regular field trips to regional areas as required
- Support the existing client base and develop new business opportunities to expand the customer base to achieve sales targets, with a focus on but not limited to Mining, Power Generation, Oil & Gas, Marine, Rail and Construction & Industrial, with the diverse brands marketed by Penske Australia
- Seek sales and tender opportunities and respond to these requests with complete and timely submissions to current and potential customers
- Create, maintain and utilise lead and opportunity management under the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System in order to develop quotes and proposals that are progressed to sales
- Develop account relationships with major customers across the aforementioned off-highway segments
- Provide input into strategic sales direction of the branch and new business opportunities.
**About you**:
- Demonstrated technical customer support experience in a related industry and/or role
- Knowledge of diesel and gas engines and related products
- Trade or Engineering qualifications and background in a related field
- Experience utilising a CRM sales management system is preferred but not essential
- Willingness to undertake reasonable travel throughout NSW
- A desire to learn new skills and explore your full potential
