**Your New Opportunity**:
With a strong team of **On-Highway **Heavy Diesel Mechanics, we need strong leadership. This is the ideal opportunity to take the leap and start **getting off the tools** while still jumping in and getting your **hands dirty** when needed.

You'll **lead and develop** our technicians and apprentices and leveraging off their strengths, lead your team to exceed customer expectations. You'll work with the leadership team to ensure **accurate tech reports, timekeeping and job reports**

**About you**:

- **Trade qualification** as a Diesel Mechanic/Diesel Fitter with a minimum of **5 years'** experience in Heavy Vehicle or Engine related works
- **Demonstrable** **leadership skills**, ideally having come from a senior tech or leading hand role - but if you've got the right attitude, we'll **train you up** and give you the tools to succeed
- **Great communication skills** - teach apprentices, motivate the team, and be a great listener
- Strong experience in **maintenance, service and repair **of heavy duty diesel engines, so our techs can come to you with any tricky questions.
- **OEM knowledge and experience** in _mtu_, Deutz, Mercedes Benz, Detroit Diesel, Cummins and Allison Transmission products would be fantastic - its what we work on, among other things
- Practical working knowledge on the operation of appropriate machinery, tools and equipment.
- Easily work independently and take the lead to drive and upskill the team.
- A commitment to, and promotion of safe work practices and the ability to mentor others.
- Have effective communication and teamwork skills, and actively promote Penske's values and purpose.
