Operations Manager Needed - Full Time Role - Ballarat Based - Bus & Charter Organisation - Great Salary
**Your new company**
Hays Recruitment have partnered with a family owned and operated bus and coach chartering service in the Ballarat region, possessing 25 vehicles their focus is on customer service, safety and reliability. With a recent change in management, they are looking to appoint an experienced Operations Manager in a full-time capacity based at their depot in Sebastopol.

**Your new role**
As an experienced Operations Manager you will be responsible for but not limited to the day-to-day duties:

- Scheduling of buses and allocation of drivers
- Coordinating activities associated with the arrival, departure, and scheduling of buses
- Ensuring buses run on time and act against late runs or missed trips
- Continual monitoring of the network and bus drivers
- Providing efficient customer and client service & follow ups
- Manage driver performance and fatigue management
- Handle any road incidents as per internal processes
- Cover shifts in the event of an absent employee
- Ensuring drivers complete necessary safety checks prior to delivery runs
- Work closely with maintenance team to ensure buses are serviced and maintained to schedule
- You will be required to assist with bus runs and be responsible for driving and

doing pick up and drop offs for passengers daily

**What you'll need to succeed**
To be considered for this role, you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in logistics and fleet management ideally previously working in the transport industry
- Experience in team leadership in a team-based environment.
- Ability to work in a deadline driven environment
- MR License or above (HR or HC)
- Knowledge of WHS issues relevant to work activities and transport industry
- Computer skills - ability to learn new programs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent driving history, willing to obtain passenger certificate
- Willing to undertake a Police Check and Working with Children’s Check
