**Description**

**About the role**

This is a 12-month parental leave contract within the Banking Function of RACQ, focussing on strategic direction, leadership and performance of the transaction products and payments portfolio. The portfolio includes pricing, product, key third party relationships, profit and loss, and risk management. You will be leading and mentoring a performing group of experts, where compliance and meaningfulness of our product offerings are in line with RACQ Bank strategy and member experience insights. As the Head of Banking Product and Ops your responsibilities are to:

- Lead strategic thinking and ways of working that evidence that action is anchored in creating value for members and in improving member experience
- Lead the development and execution of end-to-end process reviews across the Bank to ensure outstanding member experiences which are efficient and effective
- Build out hard measures that evidence operational improvements that drive member experience and member value creation.
- Manage third parties and vendors to ensure alignment of member experience expectations
- Develop and implement Bank’s contribution to the Membership growth strategy, clearly articulating and harnessing the power of the bank’s offerings (whether built inhouse or partnered) to deliver member growth (numbers and value returned to members) and demonstrate sustainable revenue growth
- Develop and maintains a sound plan of the direction of the Bank transaction and payments Product and Operations teams

**About you**

Your role will be to build a culture and environment of high performance, accountability, integrity, dedication to excellence and collaborative relationship. It is important you drive strategic leadership initiatives and develop key stakeholder relationships across both internal divisions and external partners. It is important that you have:

- A post-graduate university degree in a relevant area of study
- 10+ years within the banking industry including key experience within product management
- Senior operational and product roles, with experience in cost budgets and holding accountability for revenue streams
- Superior stakeholder engagement skills including influencing and negotiating for better strategic outcomes
- An in-depth understanding of the Finance and Banking industry
- The ability to understand, interpret and analyse numerical data and statistical information.
