**The role**:
The Associate Director will drive portfolio growth and business development for Transaction Banking. As a Transaction Banking Specialist, you will work with complex and high value clients across the Corporate Banking sector to drive origination activities, deliver service excellence & portfolio growth. The AD will deliver Transaction Banking solutions that drive financial and operational and risk improvements aligned to client objectives and strategies.

**In this role, you’ll have the opportunity to**:

- Manage the execution of the super sector business development plans to deliver on revenue associated with payments and liquidity management
- Bring the best of NAB to platinum corporate customers through your relationship building qualities
- Deliver bespoke frictionless Transaction Banking structures that provide financial and operational efficiencies for our clients
- Execute on sector aligned product initiatives that compliment C&I strategic objectives at both a client and portfolio level
- Deliver actionable Transaction Banking insights to both internal & external audiences
- Communicate client feedback back into product for the continuous improvement and broader product roadmap/strategy
- Proactively manage risk, meeting all policy and compliance requirements; perform controls; adhere to process and procedures pertinent to role; and escalate events, issues or breaches as they are identified (risk accountability forms part of all roles, as everyone is responsible for managing risk and compliance).

**What you’ll bring**:

- Business development capability with proven knowledge and experience in transaction banking and an understanding of best practice capabilities
- Proven capability in managing complex client relationships and driving client advocacy
- Demonstrated tenacity and resilience to increase enterprise value driven by working closely with and maintaining strong agreed strategy with the Corporate & Institutional Bank
- Ability to build and maintain effective and constructive working relationships with a range of senior internal and external stakeholders
- Strong ability to communicate at both strategic and operational level internally and externally, making effective decisions balancing business and stakeholder needs
- Ability to create and communicate shared vision for the team evidenced in the delivery of a strong performance culture and delivery of a superior customer experience
- Ability to set and gain agreement for realistic and stretching objectives for the team. Your approach will be underpinned by an open, inclusive, and decisive style.
