Our experienced team is made up of mechanics, body builders, fabricators, spray painters, chassis aligners, electricians and fibreglassers and we only use quality parts and repair to manufacturer specifications.
Conveniently located only 8kms from central Melbourne, near the Ring Road and Westgate Bridge, Western Truck Repairs has been repairing trucks and trailers for over 30 years.
**The Opportunity**:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Production Manager to join the Western Truck Repairs team in Williamstown.
You will be responsible in ensuring the smooth running of the workshop and that the appropriate method of repair is adhered to, estimates are followed and that quality is paramount.
**Role responsibilities**:
- Ensure the site remains a safe working environment for all staff
- Process vehicles upon arrival
- Assist with the ordering and receipting of parts, paint and consumables
- Manage the repair process to ensure timely, cost effective quality repairs are carried out
- Manage the production of the site to meet the set productivity targets and customer expectations
- Assist in the management of the site to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction
- Oversee the housekeeping within the workshop
**Does this sound like you?**
- Previous experience in similar management role within the collision repair industry
- **_ Qualified Panel Beater or Spray Painter (Highly desirable)_**:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to set and adhere to deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to problem-solve
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to delate tasks.
- The ability to motivate, manage and get the best out of your team
- Strong commitment to work in a safe manner
- Be reliable, punctual & hardworking
