Following the introduction of a new structure that prioritises community participation in Council’s civic centre, public halls and our acclaimed Function Centre, this is one of three exciting leadership roles in the new Community Participation team. - Lead the way in delivering a responsive, modern and efficient range of Council venues for our community.
- Deliver a contemporary operating model that is commercially efficient and delivers community benefit.
- Provide expert strategic direction to enable our venues to grow in utilisation, enhance revenue sources and deliver public value.
- Contribute to the planning for future community venues so that the needs of our growing and changing community are met.
- Check in with our venue users to make sure we are delivering an effective service.

**About the Role**

The Coordinator Community Venues is a critical role in the Community Participation team. Working directly with external and internal stakeholders, no two days are ever the same. You will lead a multidisciplinary team to deliver quality venues, events and functions that meet the needs of our diverse Manningham community. This role is pivotal in ensuring high-quality and responsive services, but also to review operations and seek improvements along the way. With an aptitude for good communication with a wide range of venue user groups and a strong customer service focus, the Coordinator Community Venues will have a proactive approach to the delivery of more than 30 venues.

**Skills and Experience**
- Well-developed leadership skills and the ability to drive a team culture of collaborative work performance.
- A keen understanding of inclusion and a commitment to meeting current and future community needs.
- Strong engagement skills and the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders including venue user groups, other Council staff and community groups.
- A strategic mindset as well and an understanding of the operational aspects of Council run community venues.
- A commitment to excellent customer service principles.
- A positive mindset and a desire to make a difference through continuous improvement.
