**About Help at Home **Help at Home are located in Maylands, South Australia, and provide a
**Inc **variety of support including self-care and community access services to people with a disability and the aged in the community.
**Our purpose **To provide personalised and professional services to assist clients to maintain their independence and achieve their goals.
To achieve this by listening to our clients and supporting and foster the implementation of the Help at Home’s Mission Statement.
**Special conditions ** **Hours of work are over a seven-day roster**
- Access to licensed, registered vehicle with comprehensive or third
- party property insurance.
The following current documentation is required and will be renewed at the employee’s expense:
- Screening clearances as specified by the NDIS
- Senior First Aid certificate
- Driver’s licence
- Manual handling certificate
- NDIS Code of Conduct (workers) certificate
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY AND TASKS
**Client Support ** **Provide support to clients as directed by Help at Home staff, in accordance with Clients’ needs and requests and/or as outlined by the funding contract.**
- Support and assist Clients with personal care, domestic support, including washing, meal preparation and shopping support when required.
- Communicate with clients in a sensitive and caring manner.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to the client as required.
- Escort the client on private or public transport as required.
- Report any unusual occurrences or areas of concern to a Coordinator.
- Maintain Duty of Care to Clients at all times.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
**Essential ** **An understanding of privacy and confidentiality requirements in Client care**
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
- Possessing a caring approach with empathy for a range of Clients
- Demonstrated reliability and trustworthiness.
- Ability to show patience and understanding of Clients/carers needs.
- Having a flexible approach to hours of work
- Strong abilities to use initiative appropriately, work independently or as instructed
**Desirable ** **Previous experience working in an aged/disability or welfare role**
**Qualifications ** **Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Aged, Home and**
Community or equivalent)
- Essential requirement for undertaking an NDIS Personal Care Support Worker role.
**Job Type**: Casual
**Salary**: $38.00 - $72.00 per hour

Masks & Gloves compulsory at all shifts and are provided by organisation. Extra PPE provided if Client has COVID. SW must be fully vaccinated with 3 COVID vaccinations. Questions asked of clients before each shift started.
