Support and Therapy at Home is a family-owned provider of disability In-Home & Community Support in South Australia. With over 12 years experience in supporting the NDIS community, we put our heart into providing care services to people living with intellectual and psychosocial disability.
Based in Adelaide, we work alongside children and adults, supporting them to live a fulfilling and independent life. Our support includes assistance with personal care, mentoring and daily living activities.

Due to ongoing growth of the company, we are looking for casual Disabiliity Support Workers to join our team and provide support for clients based across the Adelaide metro area. This is an exciting opportunity for the right individual(s) to join a team of passionate healthcare professionals and be supported professionally to advance your career.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Director, the responsibilities of the role will include:
- Support participants to engage in appropriate activities and tasks including in home support and community access.
- Support participants to access activities and outings in the community.
- Provide care assistance to clients in accordance with their support plan. For example: personal tasks, domestic assistance, respite, social support, transport, meal preparation and/or life skills development.
- Administer medication as required with a client care plan.
- Monitor the safety and well-being of the participants and report any concerns
- Provide 1:1 support
- Ensure completion of appropriate documentation
- Participate ongoing training and support opportunities.
This is a casual position with attractive remuneration commensurate with your qualifications, skills and experience in line with the award.
**About You**
You are an empathetic and kind individual who has a genuine interest and commitment to the well-being and inclusion of people with disabilities.
You will be suitably qualified and have experience providing support to neurodivergent, disability, and mental health clients.
You will have good communication skills, be able to work with different clients (children, young people and adults) and be able to attend shifts with short notice.
You will have experience in using a hoist and have a good level of manual handling skills.
This role will also require you to comply with the current South Australian Government mandate regarding Covid-19 vaccinations.
We are also willing to train recent graduates who may have limited experience.
**The Musts**
- A minimum Certificate III in a relevant area eg: Disability, Age Care or Community Services
- Current First Aid Certificate with CPR
- NDIS Worker Orientation Module (or willing to obtain)
- Medication Training
- Current Working with Children Check
- Current driver’s license and own reliable transport
- Current Police Check (within 12months validity)
- Excellent communication skills
- Experience working with people with mental health problems - highly desirable
