Manager Sme Airline Product Design Partnerships

Challenge yourself to drive the strategic design of the SME Product Suite and evolving customer value proposition

- Flexible on location, however travel is required to Head Office in Mascot, NSW on a regular basis

As the Manager, SME Product Design & Partnerships you will take ownership of the Customer Value Proposition, reviewing it and introducing new features that ensure SME products meet flying customer needs and, ultimately, achieve SME revenue and market share targets. You will work with a range of key stakeholders across the Group including the immediate SME team and the broader Qantas Group including Loyalty, Jetstar, Digital and IT, to align on objectives and drive consensus. You will also demonstrate leadership and mentoring capabilities, managing two direct reports.

This role is also responsible for managing the SME airline’s external commercial partnerships and most importantly, the SME relationship with Agency Partners. You will design and manage initiatives that ensure greater share of wallet for Qantas, and act as the conduit and escalation point as the Qantas SME representative.

You’ll have
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Economics or the related field
- In-depth knowledge of the SME business segment and the Qantas existing programs
- Strong commercial nous with a well-developed understanding of strategic, financial, technological and business issues
- An ability to think creatively to design customer-led products that also deliver to commercial revenue and market share targets
- General management skills, including strong influencing and people management capabilities
- Advanced analytical skills with the ability to derive business decisions from data
- An ability to understand and arbitrate trade-offs and compromises between business vision an technical feasibility
- Prior experience in product ownership, particularly the design of products to meet customer needs and maximise commercial value, is highly regarded
