**About the role**

The SME Product & Insights Lead is a key member of the Retail X SME team, and their primary responsibility is to deliver new products, tariffs, and solutions for our SME customer base. The products will support SME business through the energy transition while delivering value to the customer and Origin.

A key component of this role is ensuring that the SME product supports Origin's overall strategy and its 3 key pillars of unrivalled customer solutions, accelerate renewables and cleaner energy and delivering reliable energy through the transition

Key responsibilities include:

- Define and develop the product vision across four key areas: core, sustainability, partnerships/adjacencies, and future energy solutions. You'll develop the strategy and roadmap to meet our customer’s needs, respond to competitive pressures to achieve objectives linked to the Origin & retail strategy.
- You will work extremely close with our SME customer base (for example, industry groups, governments, telcos, corporates etc) on the solutions (energy & non energy) to support them through the energy transition.
- Develop and support our SME customers on how they meet their sustainability goals. It will require collaboration both internal to Origin and external on solutions, support and advice to our customers
- You'll develop user stories and outline business requirements working with technical developers on new product development, product optimisation and automation. You'll make go / no go recommendations on business readiness before we launch in market.
- You'll collaborate and lead working groups across Origin Zero, Wholesale, Future Energy, Sales, Insights, Marketing, Tech, Legal, Compliance, Pricing and Strategy

You'll be passionate about meeting our customer needs and community expectations ensuring we are continuously thinking about competitive positioning, performance, compliance, risks & opportunities. You will posses strong analytical, commercial and business acumen with demonstrated experience leading, designing and executing product and pricing strategies.
