**Description**:
**Reporting to the Marketing Manager, you will**:
Build and manage PR initiatives required to generate product and brand consumer earned media (social and traditional)
Develop innovative PR ideas and lead executional excellence of events, influencer marketing, content, and editorial media to drive mass earned media outcomes
Manage media, talent, and influencer relations - building and maintaining strong relationships
Develop compelling story angles and pitch them to media (and or others), manage the brand representation
Produce and edit all on-brand editorial material such as feature stories, media releases, profiles, speeches, interview preparation materials & key messages
Develop and deliver innovative industry leading event activations including author events, book signings, new release product launches and new event formats e.g.: business breakfasts
Support and grow the member base and events calendar for the Dymocks Literary Lunch Club
Build and maintain strong relationships with our existing stakeholders, including publishing houses, authors, publicists, and industry partners
Develop new partnerships with industry organisations to grow events in the professional space
Create a national and local events calendar
Ensure that new book market trends are capitalised on, and plan effectively for the short, medium, and long term
Utilise multiple channels to generate interest in and maximise the uptake of our events
Coordinate venue hire, equipment hires and catering for external events
Prepare budget proposals for submission to internal and external parties
Prepare written proposals to publishers and other partners to secure internationally touring authors
Produce and edit all on-brand editorial material such as feature stories, media releases, profiles, speeches, interview preparation materials & key messages
**Skills and Experiences**:
- Demonstrated experience in a PR role with experience/ exposure to event planning and execution
- Demonstrated experience in producing PR proposals, pitches, and media releases
- Strong skills in stakeholder & project management
- Ability to work independently and as part of a focussed team
- Experience within the publishing and/or retail sector is advantageous
- A 'can-do' attitude with a strong attention to detail
- Advanced written and verbal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
