The Marketing team bring our purpose to life for Australians, through every interaction a customer or an Adviser has with our owned channels. We focus on working with our stakeholders to deliver exceptional and engaging experiences through digital, advertising, Brand and events, using deep insights from our Data, research and analytical functions. 

This role is a senior role accountable for delivering AMP's external events across corporate, industry and client events, for the Platforms and Investments businesses, as well broader AMP for select events. The role will work closely with the broader marketing, product and distribution teams to ensure the events strategy is aligned with the broader business targets. The goal is to strengthen AMP and the North (platform) brand in the market to drive awareness with new customers and increase engagement with existing customers. Customers include licensees, financial advisers, corporate clients, end clients and the public. 

Events can range from and will include everything from Breakfast Briefings to multi day 100+ pax conferences and National Roadshows. 

Measuring return on investment will be a key component of the role as will integration with the broader take to market strategy for the business. You're responsible for the event lifecycle, from strategy, to planning, execution and attendee follow up and conversion. Activities include delivering the events strategy and plan, working with event suppliers and internal stakeholders to deliver the end-to-end events and developing supporting communications as part of the event execution.

 Please note that this is a six month contract role


What you will bring to the role


• Demonstrated experience in the ownership and delivery of events, with some experience also as the Event Lead for a diverse business or division


• Experience in working with a wide range of stakeholders – including marketing, distribution and product 


• Proven experience meeting set deadlines within a dynamic and changing environment


• Exceptional attention to detail


• Comfortable working to tight deadlines
