We’re after a Coffee Roaster & Packer with a strong barista background to join our Brisbane team. This isn't your average coffee role, we offer a fun and relaxed environment with endless amounts of opportunity for growth. You will be working with awesome products and leading Cafes. This dual coffee roasting and packing role and is the ideal way to progress to the next step of your specialty coffee career. You will have the opportunity to learn from industry leaders and develop into a complete coffee professional. **Key responsibilities will include**: Daily production roasting and packing, meeting the scheduled roasting/ packing targets. Perform production duties such as manual lifting, packaging, taping, labelling and sorting to meet packing targets (6kg); Moving product and inventory using a walkie stacker; Work in a team environment, driving combined targets; Utilising and analysing roasting software; Adhering to the predetermined roasting parameters; Maintaining the QC records and sample retention; Batching and blending to exact ratios; Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety requirements; Operating machinery to manufacturer's instructions and following "Safe Operating Procedures". What are we looking for? Passion and thirst for coffee knowledge and excellence, prior experience in the specialty coffee industry is a non-negotiable; Highly motivated with the ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines under pressure in a busy working environment; Work in a fast-moving environment, be physically fit and do repetitive heavy lifting; A high level of communication, organisational, time-management and problem-solving skills.
