Job Objective:
As a key Member of the Wabtec Corporation Team, the purpose of the Project Controller / Planner is to ensure that all project control systems, including information systems are effectively designed, documented and implemented according to client and company standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

- Creation of projects with all resource labour and non-labour costs allocated to the plan.
- Update projects including but not limited to Tasks, Resources, Relationships, Durations, Purchase Orders, Risks, Actual Costs etc.
- Develop progress measurement deliverables with regards to progress items breakdown & budgets.
- Enable EV calculation on projects to level 2 WBS (note: level 1 is considered as the project).
- Production of reports to internal management, resource managers and clients as necessary. These reports may include Critical path, Resource loading, Cost, Earned value, Variance etc
- Creation and maintenance of baselines as per corporate procedures. At a minimum these include Initial, Internal sign off, Client sign off, Scope changes (internal or external and chargeable or non-chargeable) and then on a monthly basis with financial period close out.
- Support project managers decision making process by what-if scenario creation and analysis of various options and presenting them in a way the project manager can understand.
- Ensure project actual costs are updated and financial periods are closed out on a monthly basis on the defined day by the Primavera Administrator.
- Liaising with resource managers to ensure accuracy of data.
- Training of Project managers and Resource Managers on use of the project tool in their respective areas to optimize tool utilization and improve efficiency (try to achieve one-point entry for one piece of data).
- Identification and monitoring of project risks / opportunities and reporting to Project Manager.
- Prepare and maintain delay register, notice of delay (NOD), extension of time (EOT) and associated claim deliverables.
- Coordinate & review schedules from multiple subcontractors and integrate into the master schedule.
- Ensure projects are closed as per Primavera procedures document.
- Ensure plans adhere to Wabtec corporate Primavera procedures documents.
- Adhere and contribute to the continuous development of the project planning unit library, database, processes, codes, systems and tools.

Qualifications and Skills:
Essential
- Degree qualified in Engineering or Equivalent.
- Ability to use Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project planning software for scheduling.
- Proficient at creating project control reports for internal and external stakeholders.
- Flexibility to travel to other WCS offices as required.

Preferred
- Experience in a Rail Environment.
