Hancock Energy has a Max Term opportunity until 2028 for a Projects Control Manager to join a growing team supporting onshore oil and gas projects throughout Western Australia.
This opportunity is within the Projects team based onshore in West Perth. Responsible for monitoring, coordinating and controlling a significant Gas Project from start to finish, working closely with the financial budget, cost and project plans and schedules to ensure the desired outcome
Key Responsibilities
- Development of project delivery program, plans and schedules and report progress against the project timeline
- Project package interfacing risk controls
- Monitor project costs against budget
- Analyse and recommend corrective necessary actions to meet project deliverables.
- Monitor, coordinate and control the project
- Develop and coordinate master and sub project plans
- Development of project WBS, schedules, budgets and baselines.
- Monitor and report project progress, expenditure, and forecast to complete.
- Variance analysis for cost, and schedule, including identification of exceptions and corrective actions as appropriate.
- Earned Value Management in line with Australian Standards.
- Project change management including the compilation of variations against the variety of contracts.
- Support to the project risk and opportunity management including contingency management.
- Engage and coordinate with the project leadership and project team to drive a robust project controls management approach.
- Definition and application of rules and systems to meet project conformance, tracking and reporting
- Cost effective delivery within the Hancock Energy capital project framework
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgement, as demonstrated within previous work history
- Minimum of 10 years' project controls or planning experience, preferably including major construction or infrastructure projects.
- Previous experience in fee estimate, tenders, contracts, claims, variations, project planning, schedule integration, schedule analysis, cost analysis and project performance management
- Good knowledge of quality system management and application to major projects
- SAP or an equivalent ERP system
- MS Project and/or Primavera
- Strong analytical skills
