The Life team provides reinsurance services for the life industry in Australia and New Zealand, operating in Retail, Group and Direct markets.
The Commercial team oversees our client relationships, providing advice into all aspects of pricing, product design, claims, underwriting. The team also brings Munich Re’s global insights and capabilities to the Australian and New Zealand market.
Reporting to the Head of Client Solutions, this position is responsible for assisting with the execution of the strategy for our clients, collectively and individually, ensuring we deliver on those strategies to meet client expectations.
**Your Role**
- ** Strategy**: Contribute to the development and implementation of the business strategies
- **Treaty Management and Profitability**: Deliver sustainable and profitable business for treaties, ensuring a coherent cross-functional approach to each client
- ** Client Strategies**: Assist with developing and executing the strategy for your portfolio of clients. Ensure voice of customer is represented within MRA
- ** Client Management**: Proactively build, strengthen and maintain client relationships
- Develop market insights for sharing internally and externally and proactively work with internal stakeholders to develop relevant thought leadership for us to bring to market
- ** Pricing Management**: Assist with effective pricing discussions with clients by ensuring voice of the customer is considered
- ** Product Management**: Assist with the provision of product changes
- ** New Business Tenders**:Lead the MRA client engagement to new business tenders and support the development of the tender strategy and response document
**Your Profile**
- Experience in a technical insurance discipline, for example product management, underwriting, claims, pricing/ valuation, distribution, legal/ risk highly desirable
- Life insurance experience in the Australian/ NZ market with experience in the Retail Advice segment is highly desirable
- Ability to influence/ deliver positive outcomes through effective relationship building, negotiation and engagement with clients
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver action plans to support the execution and achievement of strategic goals and to communicate those plans to internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in leading market facing activities
