**ABOUT THE ROLE**:
Public Sector People (PSP) seek an experienced Procurement Officer on behalf of a Local Council based in Sydney's Northern Suburbs. You'll be tasked with assisting the Procurement Unit to deliver an efficient and effective procurement service to Council's business units.
- 12month contract
- $70/hour + super
- 35 Hour work week

**WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING**:

- Provide high-level advice relating to procurement and contract management matters to facilitate procurement planning and ensure adherence to procurement policy and departmental objectives are achieved.
- Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal and external clients, vendors, and staff to ensure procurement services are responsive to current and future needs.
- Administer strategic contracts in collaboration with contract managers in accordance with the principles and standards of contract management policy and frameworks.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, submissions, briefs, and other correspondence relating to procurement contract matters in accordance with department requirements.

**A SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE**:

- Excellent communications skills
- Open-minded/positive outlook
- Ability to work within a team and autonomously

**QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:

- Experience in Government tendering and contract management requirements.
- Working knowledge of Technology One, and contract management modules.
- Knowledge of NSW Local and State Government contracts, policies, and regulations
