We are excited to offer a new position for a skilled supply chain professional with a knack for designing faultless processes and the documentation to support them to join our small team of 2 in our Kedron central office.

**Establish and Manage a Crucial Chain of Supply**
This position reports directly to the Business Analyst and will support the achievement of C&K’s corporate goals through the development, implementation, and monitoring of specialist procurement policies and processes.
This role is crucial to ensuring our 330+ centres are supported with the correct inventory and resources to provide a great experience for our children, their families and their communities.
Day to day, you will be accountable for:
- **Procurement Strategy - **Developing an understanding of the C&K’s purchasing requirements, understanding pain points and developing strategies to deliver improvements in: purchasing processes, purchasing compliance, the management of modern slavery risks in C&K's supply chain, ESG performance, value for money and the quality and competitiveness of C&K's childcare and kindergarten centres
- **Reporting - **Providing a high standard of internal supply chain reporting across our full scope of operations to inform strategy and policy including ensuring that contracts are executed and stored in C&K’s contract management system.
- **Compliance - **Ensure our obligations are met in line with current supplier agreements.
- **Tendering - **Sourcing, researching, establishing and putting together proposals for new supply partners and arrangements in line with evolving centre needs across QLD. Including the formalisation of contracts.
- **Relationships - **Build and maintain relationships with current suppliers alongside procurement professionals from other early childhood education providers and investigate opportunities to create purchasing power via joint tenders.
**Your expertise**
To succeed in this role you will bring significant experience in a senior procurement or related position. Ideally, you will bring qualifications in strategic procurement, economics, business administration, or equivalent.
Just as importantly, you will demonstrate strong analytical, problem-solving, strategic thinking, stakeholder management, negotiation, and dispute resolution skills with the capacity to develop systems, processes, and procedures to ensure goals are achieved, deadlines met and service delivery improved where applicable.
It will also be highly desirable to bring:
- A strong working knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as an aptitude for reading the market.
- Experience in online vendor ordering and purchase order systems as well as Microsoft Dynamics AX or similar ERP package.
All C&K employees are required to undergo background checks which includes a police check. Also, all C&K employees will need to have obtained their 1st and 2nd vaccinations for COVID-19 as a condition of employment.
