WHO YOU ARE
You are passionate about creating an IKEA fit for the future and enjoy leading through co-creation with others. You have a strong understanding of retail operations and think customer first in all that you do. You are flexible and agile and are comfortable adapting to changing needs and priorities as they arise with the ability to prioritise, delegate and make efficient decisions with speed and simplicity, under high time pressure. Your experience of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders shows your strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trustful relationships and motivates others. You have proven project management, cost management skills and knowledge of how to improve existing ways of working. You take lead in driving an open and sharing climate, being a role model of the IKEA values leading positive change, and contribute to building a more unique, inclusive and accessible IKEA.
Your role will be to lead expansion projects throughout Australia.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
As the Project Leader your responsibilities will include but are not limited to;
- Accountable and responsible to deliver projects within time, budget and quality
- Responsible to make final decisions in a project
- Take a leading role in the commercial planning and build up activities for the pre-projects
- Ensure there is a complete handover of projects to the line organisation
- Document lessons learned through the project phases as well as a secure final report after the customer meeting point has opened
- Responsible for steering group reporting
- Work across different functions and lead people in different projects
- Coordinate the planning process with Group Expansion
- Take lead in working across functions within Ingka Group and collaborate with other IKEA units
TOGETHER AS A TEAM
With the customer at the heart of everything we do, Expansion takes responsibility for developing and implementing the strategic expansion plan in the country. We are responsible for implementing our retailing concepts and securing that we fully utilise our assets in the new world of IKEA - all at lowest cost and sustained profitability.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
This role is open to remote based working and can be done from any IKEA AU location.
