Who you are
As a person you are passionate about communication and how it enables business. You are a communication all-rounder with exposure in public relations, public affairs and co-worker communication. You are confident in coordinating many moving parts and working with a wide variety of stakeholders, both within the team and throughout the wider business. You are comfortable in supporting and influencing leaders and have a proactive attitude and a hands-on approach. You excel in both leading and collaborating within large and small projects and enjoy working with autonomously and with others. This role requires you to demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and previous experience in project management, planning and delivery of strategic communication is preferred.
**Responsibilities**:
- Engage in communication projects that span public relations, co-worker communications and public affairs, either as a project lead or participant. Incorporate different stakeholder perspectives into the communications plan and response to the brief.
- Build a deep understanding of stakeholder’s objectives in order create and execute communications plans that span public relations, co-worker communications and public affairs. Demonstrate the link between desired business outcome and chosen communications activity.
- Create a broad suite of communications content for execution across public relations, co-worker communications and public affairs including press releases, photography and video content.
- Execute effective internal and external communication.
- Support the media relations team where needed with media enquiries and product loan requests.
- Support the leadership team in delivering world class communication activity for IKEA Australia.

Additional Information
This role is temporary full time (13-month contract). The preferred location for the role is Service Office Sydney, however remote work from any IKEA AU location will be considered.
