**Description**:
As a Customer Service Officer, no two days will be the same, where you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and assist passengers checking in a seamless manner for Jetstar at Sydney International Airport. Being the ‘face of the company’ to clients and passengers, you will put the customers’ needs at the heart of all required tasks.

This role is a permanent part time position, where you will work between 20 - 38 hours per week, on a shiftwork roster. You will be required to have the ability to be available to work shifts which could commence as early as 02300 am and finish as late as 24:00 midnight. Car parking is provided.

This role is paid as per the Airline Operations Ground Staff Award, where you will have the ability to earn between $25,000 - $55,000 per year.

**Key accountabilites of the role**:

- Deliver check in services on behalf of Star Aviation and its Airline customers
- Compare information on tickets with passenger data to ensure it all matches and is correct
- Check bookings and issue boarding passes
- Educate passengers about airport security protocols and luggage allowances
- Safely direct passengers to the correct gate for their flight
- Ensure the safe and secure operation of all equipment
- Perform Boarding Gate duties including public announcements as per our client’s requirements
- Complete Passenger Marshalling duties maintaining a safe and secure environment as per our client’s requirements
- Action basic administration duties

**Skills and Experiences**:

- Clear communication and good interpersonal skills
- Ability to perform all duties at a high standard of customer service
- A valid driver licence
- Experience with Aviation/Airline industry - desirable
- Caring approach to dealing with people
- Excellent organisation and time management skills
- Strong ability to multi-task, priorities and meet deadlines
- Customer focus to deliver exceptional service
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities and situations
- Able to work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Manual handling procedures
- Conflict resolution skills
- Proficient in report writing, in plain and clear English
- Intermediate skills for Microsoft Office Suite
