Work Health and Safety Specialist

**The opportunity**
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Work Health and Safety Specialist to join Bupa, supporting our aged care business.
In this role, you will provide site specific Work Health and Safety support services to all of our care homes across Australia, to reduce injury and illness and enable our people and leaders to continuously improve safe systems of work.
This will be a full-time permanent Melbourne based role with hybrid work arrangements available.
**How will you make an impact?**
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the Head of Safety Strategy in the delivery of overall strategic improvements through the development, facilitation, and delivery site specific WHS training and preventative safety activities across all care homes
- Review and track all incident and injury investigations and follow-up further action when necessary.
- Identify trends, improvement opportunities, and develop site specific WHS innovations and plans to facilitate proactive safety performance.
- Conduct WHS audits and drive the development and continuous improvement of the WHS Management System, ensuring Bupa’s compliance with all applicable legislation
- Contribute data to ensure timely and accurate WHS reporting and analysis.
- Assist in the WHS aspects of risk identification, mitigation, reporting and analysis

**What do I need?**
- Experience working within Work Health and Safety within Aged Care and/or Allied Health
- Problem solving and solutions-oriented mindset
- Sound analytical skills, and the ability to extract insights from information and provide an informed opinion on Health and Safety risks and the adequacy of controls
- Time management, excellent communications skills and a passion for continuous improvement
- Qualifications in Workplace Health and Safety (desirable)
