**About the Role**

The Project Officer plays a pivotal role in ensuring the effective implementation of governance practices that align with the Trust's objectives and uphold its commitment to excellence. By supporting the Trust Board's operations, you will contribute to maintaining high standards of governance and driving meaningful outcomes across the Aboriginal Languages Trust team.

**About the Team**

The NSW Aboriginal Languages Trust is a statutory body established under the NSW Aboriginal Languages Act 2017 to provide a focused, coordinated, and sustained effort in relation to Aboriginal languages activities at local, regional and State levels. The functions of the Trust include the promoting and identifying priorities for language activity; managing the funding of, and investment in language activity; promoting education and employment opportunities in language activities; and, promoting the wider use and appreciation of Aboriginal languages.

**A bit about you**
- You have a relevant tertiary qualification, in project management or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- You have strong knowledge of corporate governance principles and frameworks, especially for boards and public sector organisations
- You have excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate with a diverse range of stakeholders
- You have a current Driver’s License and willingness to travel

**Salary**: Clerk Grade 7/8. Package includes base salary ($110,266 - $122,058) plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading.
