What you will do
As our Principal Communications and Engagement Officer, you will:
- Develop, manage, deliver, and evaluate integrated communication strategies and activities for a range of projects and business programs, with a focus on biosecurity initiatives.
- Research, analyse and interpret current and emerging trends and technologies to help deliver contemporary and appropriate communications.
- Work closely with the Biosecurity business group to support the communications work of the Strategic Partnerships and Engagement team
- As a senior member of the Communications and Engagement (C&E) team, you will provide advice and support to C&E leaders.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships across all levels within the department and more broadly across government and relevant sectors.
- Be part of a roster to undertake out-of-hours public information and media liaison, as required.
What you will bring
While not mandatory, a qualification in communication and engagement or similar would be well regarded.
