**ABOUT THE ROLE**
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Workforce Planning & Development Manager to join our People & Culture team. Reporting to the Director of People & Culture, responsible for the planning, leadership, development and effectiveness of our event delivery workforce.
**We believe people are the key to our growth and success.** Our People & Culture team - particularly the Workforce Planning & Development Manager - plays a critical role in the development and execution of strategies that optimise resource allocation, enhance operational efficiency, and the performance and capability of our event workforce to deliver world class outcomes for events on our precinct.
To do this well, you will be a strategic and collaborative leader who brings value and expertise in large scale workforce planning and operations. Additionally, your strength of knowledge in employee and industrial relations frameworks such as enterprise bargaining agreements, awards, workplace policies and frameworks will set you up for success in this role.
**Here are some of the game-changing things **you’ll** have the opportunity to be involved in**:
**Event Delivery Workforce Performance, Development & Effectiveness**
- With the support of the Workforce Operations team, provide leadership and whole of workforce development for the Event Workforce (~800 casual employees) in collaboration with organisational leaders (venue, events and precinct operations teams) to ensure that the Event Workforce are aligned, engaged and delivering to world class standards.
- In partnership with the Organisational Capability team, develop and implement a fit-for-purpose performance and capability framework for the Event Workforce
**Strategic & Operations Workforce Planning**
- Lead the development and implementation of the workforce planning strategy for M&OP’s event workforce, which is aligned to M&OP strategic plan and business objectives.
- Oversee the scheduling processes for the event workforce ensuring our recently transformed technology solution delivers our needs and is embedded successfully in day to day processes.
**People Experience Strategy**
- Contribute to the design and implementation of a best-in-class People Experience Strategy that focusses on attraction and retention of a world class team.
**WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE ROLE**
You are an influential, impactful leader
Your highly collaborative and supportive leadership style, your steely focus on both what you and your team deliver (outcomes) and how it is delivered (behaviour), you add a significant amount of value to the business. You thrive at building and maintaining strong, mutually beneficial relationships and prioritise these relationships in order to successfully deliver in your space.
Coupled with your deep functional expertise in workforce planning (including your industrial and employee relations knowledge) - you’re ready to make a lasting impact on one of the best sport and entertainment precincts in the world.
You can balance competing demands like a pro
You’re detail orientated and equally appreciate the importance of keeping your eye on the bigger picture. A fast pace, ‘lots of balls in the air’ kind of environment is one you thrive in - and it’s your quick thinking, tenacious and innate solutions-orientated spirit that keeps you on track.
You strive for continuous improvement
You are curious and look for better ways of doing things that balance productivity and outcomes. Data, process and systems efficiency play a big role in your decision making and you actively advocate improvement projects that improve the experience and outcomes for everyone.
The customer is at the heart of everything you do
You care deeply about the people experience. Whether it is a Venue team needing help planning their workforce requirements for an upcoming high-profile event, the development of a capability building program or a guest coming to see their favourite artist at one of our venues - you consider their experience at every interaction.
