**Your new company**
A for-purpose membership organisation based near Melbourne CBD. Their mission is to educate and provide safety for the Victorian community.

**Your new role**
As the manager of media and communications, you will be responsible for:

- Development and implementation of public relations
- Proactive and reactive media relations including liaising with journalists and media outlets
- Supporting government and industry relations with ministers, multi-level stakeholders
- Managing relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinating and providing support on events including PR events, media briefings and liaisons
- Leading a team of 2 direct reports

**What you’ll need to succeed**
- Demonstrated experience with media issues management with a strong understanding of the media landscape
- High level strategic communications and planning
- Prior experience liaising with government processes and stakeholders will be highly regarded
- Experience in a similar role within the public sector
- Current Victorian Drivers License
- National Police Check and Working with Children Check will be required
