**About the role**

We have an exciting opportunity for someone to join RACQ and manage the Member Analytics function here within the Data Analytics division. You will manage a small team of analysts for our Member portfolio, mentoring the team and with a strong focus on developing analytical skills and tools. We are on the lookout for someone who can lead a team of specialists across full-spectrum analytics, focusing on delivering concise business solutions across RACQ’s Member division. Your role will include:

- Gathering structuring and analysing internal and external data using a broad range of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytics technologies. Data will include all aspects of policy and member details, interactions digital experience, competitor data, text and speech records.
- Implementing prescriptive analytics capabilities that enable the leveraging of analytic models in channel and across a range of proactive strategies to provide personalisation and optimisation
- Contributing your skills and expertise to the team providing domain expertise and computer science technical counsel within the broader analytics practice
- Developing member-centric predictive analytic solutions that position RACQ to strengthen and enhance member experience and pre-empt member needs
- Producing descriptive and diagnostic analytic solutions to assist RACQ in making member-centric decisions.

**About you**

Your communication skills are critical to your success as a manager. You will be liaising with both internal and external stakeholders, which will be centred around influencing and motivating, to assist with business unit synergies and increase commercial awareness. You will also have the responsibility to lead, mentor and support a small team. Your interpersonal skills are paramount; however, it is important that you also meet the following criteria:

- University degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, IT or similar.
- At least 5 years’ experience within a similar technical or management role.
- A high level of knowledge of computer science disciplines and practices that support production-grade analytics solutions
- Well-developed project management and internal consulting skills
- A strong understanding of a member/customer-centric organisational structure is desired, especially financial services (but not imperative).
- Problem solving and decision-making skills, particularly with respect to the development and implementation of complex analytics solutions and technical architecture.
