In this role, you will lead and oversee subcontractor recruitment, onboarding, retention, and offboarding processes, to ensure compliance with TGE policies and procedures. Along with generating reports and business analytics to monitor and control subcontractor activities and lead subcontractor education and change management processes.

The Subcontractor Manager - FTL & Direct Drive will be a key player in managing subcontractors by promoting a unified culture of safety, customer focus, and operational excellence, to support the achievement of organisational goals and objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage subcontractors by ensuring compliance with TGE industrial instruments and agreed commercial terms, including the Statement of Engagement.- Develop relationships with subcontractors to maximise availability and consistent supply of resources, to support the business requirements.- Oversee subcontractor recruitment, onboarding, retention, and offboarding processes, ensuring compliance with TGE policies and procedures.- Manage, monitor, and review subcontractor data, ensuring it is accurate, compliant, and up-to-date at all times, to support operational decision making.- Lead subcontractor education and change management processes (e.g., policies, safety, technology, comms), to ensure a common understanding and adoption of TGE requirements.- Generate reporting and business analytics to monitor and control subcontractor activities, to support the decision-making process.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Transport or 3PL environment, with a demonstrated ability to build strong business partner relationships.- Proven experience in managing subcontractor safety performance and relationships, including managing and mitigating risks associated with subcontractor activities.- Ability to take a holistic business approach and work collectively across all facets of a business, to support the achievement of the organisational goals and objectives.- Understanding of Heavy Vehicle Regulatory requirements, to ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.- Strong problem-solving skills with a solutions-oriented approach, to resolve issues and challenges that arise during the subcontractor management process.
