What does the job look like?

The Transport Manager is ultimately responsible for the safe and cost-effective management of the transport at our Kemps Creek site. In this role you will be responsible for meeting our commitment to our customer through the provision of quality service and operational efficiency.

Working in collaboration with our people, every decision you make will be driven by safety, service, and cost, partnering closely with customer and sub-contracting companies to achieve and exceed operational and financial metrics. You will also take ownership to identify and deliver continuous improvement initiatives, train, and develop staff and adhere to BevChain policies and procedures. Key areas:

- Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing team, including direct reports and a large subcontractor base
- Manage labour planning, wage control, and resource allocation to meet operational and financial targets
- Take ownership of site-level P&L performance, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and alignment to budget
- Ensure compliance with Chain of Responsibility, NHVL, and all site-based safety policies through accurate reporting, audits, and risk management
- Drive continuous improvement by developing and implementing systems, processes, and policies that enhance operational efficiency and service outcomes
- Partner closely with internal and external stakeholders to meet contractual KPIs and maintain strong customer relationships

Are you the one?

This is a pivotal role requiring a manager with experience within the transport industry. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have experience providing leadership and effective commercial and operational decision making. You can demonstrate:

- Experience managing people, medium to large teams (30+) and subcontractor networks
- Proven experience in transport management, ideally with exposure to industrial/unionised sites
- Strong understanding of P&L responsibility, cost control, and commercial decision-making
- Strong financial acumen, with a history of managing budgets, controlling wages, and driving profitable operations
- Process driven, Analytical and Methodical
