**Job Purpose**

An exciting opportunity for a Transport Allocator to join our team on afternoon shift

This role will be responsible for arranging the plan of the work for our fleet of trucks who handle FCL and MT Movements in and around the Port and surrounding suburbs.

**Key Accountabilities**
- Export planning and manifesting to wharf terminals
- Import planning and collection from wharf terminals
- Delivery and planning completion with customers in SE QLD and Northern NSW
- Empty container dehire and collections
- Allocating DPW transport assets to achieve utilisation targets each shift
- Communication with DPW yards and terminals to achieve utilisation targets each shift
- Communication with customers and relevant stakeholders
- Reporting duties as required

**Qualifications, Skills and Experience**
- At least 2 years’ experience in a transport related role
- Must know and understand Chain of Responsibility
- Knowledge of 1-Stop and Container Chain operating systems
- Knowledge of Import and Export requirements at the port
- Knowledge and understanding of Fisherman Island Precinct
- Previous data-entry and administration experience with EXCEL
- Willingness to learn transport operating system
- Excellent communication and planning skills and attention to detail
- Demonstrated teamworking skills and outstanding customer service skills
- Understanding NHVR for route planning and weight limits etc
