**About BTE Group of Companies**
BTE is a small though rapidly-growing professional services firm based in Western Sydney. Our clients are other small to medium-sized businesses that need guidance and direct support to effectively manage their business operations in order to achieve success. In essence, we look after their IT, administration, bookkeeping, procurement and workflow processes, while they focus on their core business.
**The Role**
This is a new role and will be pivotal to the ongoing success of BTE, so it’s a great opportunity to “make your mark”.
In addition to providing direct executive support to the Managing Director (diary management, preparing documentation, record keeping, interfacing with clients, staff and contractors etc ), you’ll build meaningful relationships and provide direct administrative support to our clients (organising meetings, virtual reception, generating reports, data entry, following up unpaid accounts etc ).
As part of a growing business, we’ll also be looking to you to help support the development and improvement of our internal procedures and related documentation, to ensure that we are working as efficiently as possible.
You’ll be an integral part of our business from the “get go” and we hope you’ll be a key factor in our future success. There is real potential for the role to develop into a more senior administration/office manager role as the business grows.
For the right person, we’re prepared to be flexible as to the location of work (did someone mention work-from-home or hybrid work?), as well as the number and days of work (we’re currently thinking around 20-25 hours per week initially). School hours are a possibility. In time, there will likely be opportunity for full-time work, if that appeals to you.
- Exceptional organisational and administration skills and experience
- Proven experience working independently
- Strong experience with MS Office suite and be generally “tech-savvy”
- A mature, professional and flexible approach to work
- Excellent interpersonal skills, resilience and the ability to remain calm
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including procedure-writing experience
- Capacity and willingness to learn and try new things
- Good time management skills and strong attention to detail
- Experience providing executive support
Experience working in a small team and an understanding of the challenges of small businesses is preferred.
