**The core capability requirements for this role are**:

- Provide direction and assist in driving the QPS Strategic Plan through the provision of intelligence services to Commands and Regions in the assessment of problem places, cases and issues. Provide high level analytical advice and support to QPS officers in relation to targeting strategies. Plan and prepare complex intelligence assessments in relation to crime and other community safety matters utilising accepted intelligence processes. Establish and maintain effective networks within the QPS and with external partners and stakeholders. Develop and implement effective work practices with a focus on continuous improvement. May be required to provide supervision and direction to other staff members. Utilise technology to provide open source and social media enhancement to support organisational priorities

Role Requirements
- Other: -A knowledge of online collection techniques will be highly regarded.The successful applicant will be required to perform duty within any Group/Unit in the surrounding area where State Intelligence Group/Intelligence Directorate conducts business-The successful applicant may be required to undergo psychometric assessment prior to appointment.Applicants are advised that whilst performing the duties of the position they may be exposed to material (written, visual and audio) of a graphic and sensitive nature.Applicants must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance to the mínimal level of Negative Vetting Level 1 (see additional information).The successful applicant/s must undertake intelligence training delivered by the Queensland Police Service in line with current policy.A three shift rotational roster is a requirement of the role
