Are you a data-driven problem solver with a passion for turning insights into impact?

We're seeking a Business Intelligence Specialist to join a high-performing Strategy & Innovation team for a 4-month contract, covering maternity leave from 1 December 2025 to end of March

This is a Brisbane-based role, working alongside two other BI Specialists and a Senior Business Analyst, reporting directly to the Director of Strategy & Innovation. You'll be embedded in a collaborative environment where your expertise will help shape data strategy and support key transformation initiatives.

About the role:

  • Building and managing data pipelines using Microsoft Fabric
  • Transforming and processing data with PySpark
  • Creating advanced Power BI dashboards and models using DAX
  • Scripting in Python, SQL, and JavaScript
  • Supporting automation and app development with Power Platform tools

About you:

  • 5–10 years' experience in BI, data engineering, or analytics
  • Strong skills in reporting, data transformation, and scripting
  • Availability to work onsite 5 days/week in Brisbane, with some flexibility in hours
  • Ideally available over the Christmas/New Year period for potential migration activities

Preferred Skills

  • Microsoft Fabric pipeline development
  • PySpark for data transformation
  • Advanced Power BI (DAX, data modelling)
  • Python, SQL, JavaScript (medium to advanced)
  • Power Automate & Power Apps
  • SDLC knowledge
  • Power Platform environment management & deployment
