Finance Officer

This position is accountable for high quality financial services and support, specifically accounts payable and receivable services (including international student payments and refunds) and to support other accounting or financial services as required.

The role is responsible for ensuring that invoices and payments are processed efficiently in compliance with relevant policies and procedures. The position is also responsible for raising invoices, receipting payments, debt recovery and month end reconciliation and reporting.

Key responsibilities include:

- Processing of accounts payable and receivable transactions.
- Undertaking high quality financial services for stakeholders, including raising invoices, receipting payments, debt recovery, month end reconciliation and reporting.
- Working with the Financial Accountant to ensure continuous improvement of policies and procedures relating to the accounts payable and receivable functions.
- Providing advice, interpretation and training as required to staff.

**ABOUT YOU**

You will have completed a diploma level qualification or higher in Accounting or related discipline and have relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and qualifications.

You shall have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to deal effectively with clients by phone, in writing and in person, as well as having well developed organisational skills, being able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines, being flexible and working autonomously with mínimal supervision.

Crucial to your success will be your commitment to providing excellent client services, being able to work as part of a team, adapting to change and being able to learn new systems and procedures.

Previous financial experience in an education environment would be desirable.
