**About the Role**

We have an opportunity for an experienced Import Logistics Coordinator to join our supply chain team based in our Greenacre head office, reporting to Demand and Supply Planning Manager

You will be responsible for creating shipments in the system, communication with suppliers and responding to shipping related queries from internal stakeholders. You will coordinate the logistics and undertake all administrative functions relating to international sea and air shipments into Australia.

We are looking for someone with a high attention to detail, who can prioritise and multi-task, and who has strong understanding of the importing processes.

**Main responsibilities include but not limited to**
- Coordinate with suppliers and freight forwarder to ensure goods are shipped on time and in the most efficient and cost effective way
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure back orders are maintained and shipped in an efficient manner.
- Obtain credit notes or stock replacements from suppliers for any incorrect shipped or invoiced goods. Work with Warehouse Team to quarantine or adjust the stock when it is necessary.
- Set up loads once products are shipped and ensure all necessary paper works are received and payments are requested, maintain the filing of all shipping documents
- Prior to load receiving, update route details on load in the system
- Maintain a shipping schedules by using information from freight forwarder’s weekly reports.
- Maintain ETA’s as per information received from suppliers and freight forwarders
- Receive, invoice and cost a load when the load is received in warehouse.
- Process freight invoices in the system for payments
- Communicate with internal stakeholders about any major delays to the shipments
- Provide Inbound Team with the information of arriving loads, including any required extra information and resources to the Inbound Team in order for them to check off the goods
- Work with Warehouse Inbound Team to prioritise unpacking of loads
- Obtain airfreight quotes for the shipments of urgent projects
- Book DHL outbound shipment for Procurement Team
- Periodically update Procurement Team with shipping costs by suppliers in order for them to maintain a landed costing factor
- Ad Hock Supply Chain related Tasks

**Skills and experience**(Must be able to clearly demonstrate the following attributes)
- More than 5 years experience in shipping/logistics/supply chain environment, looking to focus on inbound shipping coordination
- Strong organisation & time management skills to meet shipping time frames
- Knowledge in Microsoft Dynamic preferred but not essential
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
- Be proactive and a quick learner
- Ability to work both independently and as part of logistics team
- High attention to detail
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional, friendly demeanor, with a can-do attitude.

Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
