Our client is an Australian-owned company with offices and production plants all throughout Australia, looking for a seasoned professional to join the team as the **national warehouse & logistics manager.**
You will be overseeing the warehousing, distribution, and transportation activities to ensure the efficient and economical utilisation of facilities for storing, distributing, and transporting finished goods to clients & businesses, with strong emphasis on safety & environmental policies.
**This role will involve**:
- Developing an environment that fosters open and positive team communication by setting expectations, and communicating the company’s goals and objectives.
- Examining, identifying, planning, and managing special logistics and warehousing processes or operations which involves ensuring that accurate and complete accounting, reporting, and internal control systems are functioning and that all relevant records are accurately maintained
- Ensuring raw materials are staged & issued to production in a timely manner using shipments/pick lists.
- Developing and sustain strong internal and external relationships to deliver cross functional business improvements, whilst ensuring internal stakeholders operate within commercial and SH&E framework
- Managing all operational costs and metrics regarding production output, quality & safety, transport & logistics, time available, labour requirements & planned production.
- Working with the warehouse manager to coordinate the annual stock-takes, surveillance and investigation of stock shortages, deviations from specifications, damages to shipments and delivery of partial shipments.
**To be successful in this role, you will require a responsible sense of purpose and have**:
- Knowledge of complex Supply Chain operations and network optimisation in a fast-paced multi-dimensioned business, with a deep understanding of the Australian freight market.
- Extensive operations leadership experience, responsible for leading large manufacturing teams in the Food Storage/Manufacturing (FMCG) industry.
- A strong leadership background and skill set, with an ability to coach and develop managers to lead groups to deliver excellent results.
- Outstanding people skills with proven experience in LEAN manufacturing and delivering change as well as implementing continuous improvement.
- High analytical capability interpreting data, and management of team KPIs to ensure the groups meet or exceed targets daily, weekly and monthly.
- Vigilance around health and safety practices within the warehouse
- Concise communication, working closely with the Warehouse Manager, customer service team, drivers & warehouse staff and ensuring customer delivery requirements are achieved.

**Salary**: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
