**About the Role**

We are seeking a **calm, compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker** to support a **non-verbal male participant** with **Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)** and **Intellectual Disability**, who may display **aggressive behaviours**

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Community access** (e.g. local walks, activities, appointments)
- **Routine-based care and companionship**:

- **Managing behaviours of concern** using a positive behaviour support approach
- Follow an established behaviour support plan with guidance from family and allied health professionals
- Build trust through calm, consistent, and non-verbal communication techniques
- Provide **personal care assistance** while ensuring dignity and comfort.
- Monitor and respond to **occasional seizures** according to the participant’s care plan.
- Maintain accurate records and report any concerns to the relevant team members.

**Requirements**:

- Experienced in working with **ASD, intellectual disability**, and **non-verbal communication**:

- Skilled in **positive behaviour support** and **de-escalation** strategies
- Emotionally resilient, patient, and reliable
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- First Aid & CPR
- Valid driver’s licence
