An exciting opportunity has arisen where we require an Assistant Development Manager to join our Communities development team working on the Shoreline master-planned community. Shoreline is a 262-hectare project located in Redland Bay and is expected to deliver over 3,000 homes over a fifteen-year period. The project is in an exciting phase, with first residents having now moved in, imminent opening of the first Display Village and the first neighbourhood park to be finished by the end of the year.

Based at our Brisbane Office (with 1-2 days onsite at project per week) and reporting to the Senior Development Manager, the role will allow you to be involved in the complete development cycle; including but not limited to development brief preparation, design management, planning, marketing, sales, procurement and delivery. This is a full time, permanent position.

As the Assistant Development Manager you will be tertiary qualified in Construction Management, Planning, Property Development/Economics, Engineering or a related field and ideally have had experience in land development and/or master planned residential communities. You’ll be a pro-active self-starter with commercial acumen; strong communication skills and a collaborative nature consistent with developing and maintaining relationships across internal and external development functional teams is required to achieve results.

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinate the sales release process with the marketing and sales team, including managing construction updates to purchasers
- Assist and coordinate the consultant team in securing planning and operational works approvals with the local and State authorities
- Help with program, operational and financial performance of subdivision precincts and associated infrastructure
- Support the team in coordinating operational aspects of the project delivery, including procurement, production and civil works of subdivision and general scheme infrastructure (such as parks, major road works and water/sewerage infrastructure)
- Assist the Development Team in placemaking through the provision of key amenity and infrastructure to support the competitive positioning of the project
- Help drive the key client and stakeholder relationships in coordination with the Senior Development Manager
- Assist with compliance with all Local, State and Federal approval obligations
