**The Role**

We are seeking a customer-focused sales assistant to join our team in our Ballarat store, where we pride ourselves on providing excellent service to all of our customers. As part of our team, you will be responsible for promoting our full range of gases, welding, and safety equipment to a diverse range of customers across the Wide Bay-Burnett region.

Other key responsibilities in this role include:

- Building positive customer relationships
- Promotion and up-selling of new products and initiatives
- Phone and counter sales
- Merchandising & Inventory management
- Safe manual handling of gas cylinders

Ideally you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

- Experience in a sales environment
- Strong focus on customer service
- Willingness to learn about new products and processes
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Computer literacy (SAP experience would be advantageous)
- Industrial (especially welding) and safety equipment knowledge would be highly advantageous
